Nokia Working on Windows Base Tablet for Next Year

Published on:

Nokia is reportedly planning to resume its stalled development of Windows based tablets and is expected to show off the first product at next year's Mobile World Congress.

Citing Taiwan-based supply chain manufacturers, DigiTimes wrote that disapointing sales of the Windows RT tablets is however causing Nokia to hold back on making confirmed orders and is reviewing its marketing plans.

Nokia originally planned to develop a tablet of its own for launch early this year, but put them on hold when Microsoft announced the Surface tablet of its own, and due to concerns about the size of the market for Windows based tablets in general.

It wont be the first table the company has developed though - as the firm released the Nokia 770 Internet Tablet back in 2005.
