KPN Close to Sale of Spanish MVNO

Published on:

Orange Spain is reported to be close to a deal to buy the Spanish MVNO, Simyo from its Dutch owners, KPN for around EUR30 million.

The MVNO already runs over the Orange network.

Citing local media reports, Network World wrote that the deal is "practically decided" and they are just sorting out final details.

Simyo has around 400,000 customers in Spain, and is a low-cost brand operated by KPN in a number of European countries.

KPN has been looking to sell the stake for some time, with rumours of a sale to Vodafone for EUR40 million cropping up last year.
