Nokia's Head of Imaging to Leave the Company

Published on:

Nokia has suffered a blow as the man who developed its Pureview camera technology is leaving the company - to take up a role at Jaguar Land Rover.

Nokia confirmed the departure of Damian Dinning, which he also announced via a notice to the Pureviewclub and Twitter.

In a statement, Dinning said that "As reported in Nokia's own statement regarding my forthcoming departure, a number of key strategic roles have moved to Finland. My family and I are based in the UK at a stage in our lives where relocation is unfortunately not an option."

Dinning has been with Nokia for nine years and added that his decision has been in the planning for several months so has been laying down the preparations with his team for the handover.

He will be moving to Jaguar Land Rover where he said he will take a role driving future innovations in the new field of Connected Car -- which is the development of mobile technologies in motor vehicles.
