Vodafone Portugal to Take Over Monitoring of UK and Irish Networks

­Vodafone Portugal has announced that in addition to the network of Spain, it will also monitor the communications networks of the company's operations UK and Ireland.

This Operations Centre in Portugal began its activity in July, with the monitoring network in Spain, and will now take over the monitoring of the radio access network in the UK and the core network and services in Ireland.

Earlier this year, Vodafone Portugal was chosen to host the Atlantic NOC (Network Operations Center) - one of only two centers network monitoring operations of Vodafone Group in Europe.

The Atlantic NOC is located in the Vodafone Portugal head office, and employs about 150 people, of which 120 were new posts created by the centre.

The recruitment phase is still ongoing and the most sought after profiles are engineers and technicians with expertise, flexible working hours and knowledge of Spanish and English, among others.
