Apple Posts Apology to Samsung on its Website

Published on:

Apple has complied with a UK court order requiring it to post a message on its website confirming that it lost a lawsuit against Samsung after publicly accusing the South Korean company of copying its iPad design.

A small link at the bottom of Apple's UK specific website Samsung/Apple UK judgement points to the statement from the company.

While admitting that it lost the lawsuit, the statement points out that Samsung lost cases in Germany and that the Judge had described the design of the iPad as "cool", and Samsung's as not as "cool".

The company has to also post a similar message in various newspaper adverts.

The statement on the Apple website has to be live for at least six months - so will presumably vanish on the 27th April 2013.
