Bangladesh Network Forms Infrastructure Subsidiary

Published on:

Bangladesh based mobile network, Robi Axiata has formed a new subsidiary company, Bangladesh Infrastructure Company (BCIL).

In a statement to the stock exchange, Robi Axiata's Malaysian parent company said simply that the "business objective of BICL is to undertake activities and operations related to telecommunication infrastructure."

The implication of the company function could suggest that the firm is looking to split off its tower assets into a new company.

Axiata noted that the incorporation of BICL is not expected to have any material effect on the earnings and Net Tangible Assets of Axiata for financial year ending 31 December 2012.
