Samsung Expects Record Quarterly Profits

Samsung has issued a preliminary estimate of its third quarter financial results, and expects to announce record operating profits, boosted largely by smartphone sales.
In its estimates, Samsung says that it will generate operating profits up by 91% at 7.9 ~ 8.3 trillion Won (around US$7.3 billion).
Revenues are estimated to come in at the region of 51 ~ 53 trillion Won (around US$46 billion), which will be a rise of a quarter on the previous year.
The financial estimates are higher than most analysts had predicted.
The final audited results are due to be released next month.
