Cognizant and Monitise Form Mobile Money Alliance

UK based mobile banking service provider Monitise has announced a "global alliance" with the USA based IT services vendor, Cognizant that will in some unspecified manner combine their respective services.
In a statement, Monitise said that by "leveraging an interoperable platform instead of solutions from disparate products and mobile operating systems, financial institutions will be able to lower the total cost of ownership, and drive newer revenue streams through enhanced mobile adoption."
Apart from a lot of quotes about how wonderful mobile banking is, no actual details of their plans were provided.
