Vodafone Greece Deploys 3G Services in 900Mhz Bands

Published on:

Vodafone Greece says that it has become the first company in Greece to utilise the 900MHz frequency for better 3G coverage.

The company says that the investment means improved geographical coverage for the signal, and also a better quality signal indoors. The initial investment relates to the Peloponnese, Sterea Ellada and Western Greece and will soon extend to cover the entire country.

Utilisation of the 900MHz frequency is a follow-on to the €168.5 million investment Vodafone Greece made to renew and extend its frequency allocation.

Vodafone Greece is also in the process of developing its LTE network.
