Google Working on Sub-Hundred Dollar Android Tablet
Published on:
Google is reportedly working on a new thinner Android tablet that would also be able to break the $100 price barrier before the end of this year.
Citing industry sources, Taiwan based Digitimes reported that the company is working on two thinner versions of the Nexus tablets, the Nexus 7.
One of the models will be priced at US$199 while the other will be priced US$99, and both models are expected to hit markets by the end of 2012, the sources added.
The move is seen as a response to the expected announcement of a 7.85" model of Apple's iPad, which is due later this year.
