Telkomsel Bankruptcy Judges Reported to Indonesia's Judicial Commission

The controversial bankruptcy of Indonesia's largest mobile network, Telkomsel has widened with the three Judges who issued the order being reported to the country's Judicial Commission for malpractice.
The bankruptcy order was issued based on a debt of just US$560,000 arising from a dispute with a reseller and did not reflect the real financial position of the company. As such it has focused attention on the country's bankruptcy laws which have long been seen as outdated.
An organisation calling itself the National Government Reporting says that it reported presiding judge Agus Iskandar and two other judges, Agus Irawan and Noer Ali to the Judicial Commission.
"We're especially accusing them of working unprofessionally," NGM's executive director, Ulung Purnama, said in a press statement.
Telkomsel has filed an appeal against the bankruptcy order with the Supreme Court.
