Nokia Siemens Networks Wins Bosnian Network Upgrade Contract

­Bosnia and Herzegovina based BH Telecom is reported by local media to have signed two contracts with Nokia Siemens Networks for the deployment of HSPA+ upgrades.

The firat contract reportedly cover the supply of RAN equipment for the HSPA+ upgrade in the north and east of the country. The HSPA+ upgrade will deliver theoretical peak download speeds of up to 42Mbps, with expectations of practical speeds of up to 30Mbps being achievable.

Upgrade completion is expected in the middle of next year and will include the deployment of 100 additional base station.

The other contract covers TDM equipment migration.
