Former Vodacom CEO Takes Post at South African Investment Fund

The former CEO of South Africa based Vodacom, Pieter Uys has accepted a management post at Remgro, an investment holding company.
In a brief statement to the South African stock exchange, Remgro simply confirmed that Pieter Uys will join the management team of Remgro on 1 April 2013. He will also serve on the Management Board.
The company added that his "proven operational expertise and knowledge of new technology will be an asset to the company."
Originally established in the 1940s by the late Dr Anton Rupert as a tobacco manufacturer, Remgro's investment portfolio currently includes more than 30 investee companies.
