Vietnam's 3G Subscriber Base to Grow 15% by 2016

­A senior exec with Qualcomm has confirmed that the company remains in close co-operation with Vietnamese mobile phone producers and mobile network service providers.

At a local conference, John Stefanac, president of Qualcomm Asia-Pacific said that the company predicts that Vietnam will remain a potential market for smart phones with a predicted annual growth of 15 percent for 3G subscribers during the 2012-16 period.

The number of smart phone users is likely to increase by 16-21 percent by the end of this year over last year, he added.
