Verizon Wireless Bans Staff Holidays in iPhone Launch Window
Published on:
Verizon Wireless has all but confirmed the launch of Apple's iPhone, when it ordered a blanket cancellation of all retail staff holiday time in the last 10 days of September.
Citing a "trusted employee", the TechCrunch website wrote that the iPhone 5 will go on sale in Verizon Wireless stores on Friday September 21st, with staff barred from holiday time until the end of the month.
A Friday launch would fit in with traditional Apple launch policies of announcing a product and then sales starting at the end of the following week.
There is still speculation as to whether the September 12th announcement will also include a new range of smaller iPad tablets.
