T-Mobile USA Announces Support for Gay Marriage in Washington State

T-Mobile USA has announced its support for gay-marriage by assisting a referendum in Washington State which will decide if marriage equality is to be offered.
The company announced its endorsement of Referendum 74 by donating to, and supporting the efforts of, Washington United for Marriage, the broad, bipartisan statewide coalition working to defend the state's marriage law.
"T-Mobile has a long-standing focus on creating an inclusive workplace environment for our employees," said Jim Alling, interim chief executive officer and chief operating officer. "Our support of this issue is a reflection of our culture, how we do business, and our belief in the fair and equitable treatment of all employees."
More than 4,800 T-Mobile employees live and work in Washington State.
The Referendum was filed by opponents of gay-marriage in an effort to overturn a law passed earlier this year legalising it. Voting takes place in November.
