NQ Mobile Buys One-third Stake in Hesine Technologies

NQ Mobile has announced that it is buying a one-third stake in Hesine Technologies, a mobile messaging solution provider, and wholly owned subsidiary of MediaTek.
NQ Mobile's Co-founder, Chairman and Co-CEO, Henry Lin, will join the Board of Directors of Hesine and provide overall strategic direction to the company.
While maintaining a majority interest in Hesine, MediaTek has agreed to further strategic collaboration with Hesine in the deployment of its messaging solutions.
NQ Mobile is a mobile security and privacy company with over 200 million registered users globally.
Financial terms were not disclosed.
