HTC Pulling Out of South Korea Following Slow Sales

Published on:

Taiwan's HTC is reported to be pulling out of the South Korean market after several years of sluggish sales in the country.

Citing market watchers, the Yonhap News Agency wrote that the company is pulling out of South Korea following fruitless attempts to stay afloat in the local market, which is dominated by Samsung Electronics.

On Friday, HTC announced its plan to close its Seoul office, a move that comes just a few months after its local manager ended a brief six-month placement with the company due largely to sluggish sales.
