South Korean LTE Subscriber Base Reaches 8.4 Million

South Korea's LTE subscriber base has reached 8.4 million, with the figure expected to nearly double by the end of this year.
Citing industry sources, the Yonhap News Agency said that SK Telecom has signed up its 4 millionth customer on Friday, just six weeks after it had reached 3 million customers.
The mobile networks are also pinning growth hopes on the mobile games market as users switch to multi-player games that need the faster mobile broadband network to support action-based gaming.
