LG Planning 10 Megapixel Quad-Core Smartphone

Published on:

LG Electronics is reportedly working on an upgraded version of its quad-core smartphone to address concerns expressed in product reviews about the quality of the built-in camera.

It was reported by the Chosunilbo that LG's Chairman Koo Bon-moo is personally involved in the project having expressed concerns that the handset division has been slow to exploit developments by LG's other subsidiary companies.

He singled out LG Display and LG Chem, which supply essential parts to global companies including Apple.

The handset will be the company's first smartphone to feature a quad-core processor and a camera with over 10 megapixels resolution.

LG is expected to release the new phone in September.
