Google Shows Off First Own-Branded Tablet Computer

Google has today shown off its long expected own-brand tablet, the Nexus 7, which is being manufactured for it by Taiwan's Asus.
The seven inch tablet sports a 1280x800 display screen and is powered by a quad-core Tegra-3 chipset along with 12-core graphics processor.
It also comes with a 1.2 megapixel front camera, supports NFC and weighs 340 grams. The OS is the just announced Android version 4.1.
The battery is claimed to support up to 10 hours of basic use or 8 hours of video playback.
Nexus 7 is available for preorder today from Google Play in the USA, UK, Canada and Australia, and starts at US$199 in the USA. It will start shipping mid-July.
