Asus Working on Google Branded Android Tablet

Google's oft-rumoured plans for an own-branded tablet have gained momentum after reports that Asus is working on the device, which will be shown off at a Google conference later this month.
Citing an unnamed Asus source, Android Authority reported that the company is working on the device for imminent launch.
Other than "it will be awesome", the Asus representative was unwilling to expand on the product specifications.
Google has been long suspected of wanting to challenge Apple's dominance of the tablet market by launching its own device, as well as a competitor to Apple's newspaper and magazine sales channel.
Google is due to hold a developer conference on the 27th June.
