GSM Goes Live in Argentina

Telecom Personal has launched Argentina's first GSM network, initially in some areas of the city of Buenos Aires and its suburbs. The company has already secured roaming agreements with networks in France, Italy, Spain, Chile and Peru. Telecom Personal announced at the beginning of 2001 the decision to introduce GSM/GPRS technology in the argentine market.
