Du Mulls Bid for Saudi MVNO License

Published on:

UAE based mobile network, Du is considering bidding for an MVNO license in Saudi Arabia in what would be its first move outside its home market.

Du's CEO, Osman Sultan confirmed that the company is looking for overseas opportunities as it catches up with its local rival, Etisalat in a saturated market.

Naming Saudi Arabia as a potential market, he confirmed the company is studying whether it will bid for one of three MVNO licenses that the regulator is planning to auction later this year.

The company is also looking for similar virtual network opportunities in other countries, but no decision has been taken yet.
