Croatian Network Launches LTE Services

Croatian mobile network, Vipnet says that it has launched the first LTE network in the country.

The mobile network started tests of LTE at 800Mhz in March 2011, and followed those with tests in the 1800Mhz and 2.6Ghz bands later last year.

The network infrastructure was supplied by Ericsson Nikola Tesla.

Sweden's Ericsson owns 49% of Ericsson Nikola Tesla, with the rest held by investors and floated on the Zagreb Stock Exchange.
