Nokia Funding Free Lumia 900 Smartphones to AT&T Sales Staff

Published on:

USA based AT&T is preparing the start selling Nokia's Windows Phone based Lumia 900, and it is reported that Nokia is offering up to $25 million worth of handsets free to AT&T staff.

The mobile network has a "Company Use" scheme, where staff can have a free handset - and Nokia will reportedly fund the scheme for AT&T to encourage staff to become familiar with the handset and thus promote it to customers.

According to WPCentral, one slight downside for the employees is that they can have just one "Company Use" handset at any time, so will have to return their Android and iPhones if they want to take a Nokia phone home.

Despite that, Nokia is expecting more than 80% of front-line sales staff to take up the offer.

The Nokia Lumia 900 is expected to go on sale at AT&T stores from 9th April.
