Huawei Deploy World's First UMTS/LTE 1.7 GHz Network in Japan

­Huawei has won a contract to deploy a nationwide scale3G/LTE convergence network for Japan's eAccess. This is the world's first UMTS/LTE 1.7 GHz convergent network.

Based on the actual customers and traffic map, Huawei provides eAccess with end-to-end SingleRAN convergent solution, including RAN (Radio Access Network), CN (Core Network) and terminal devices.

With SDR (Software Defined Radio) technology, the 1.7 GHz RRU can simultaneously support WCDMA and LTE.

Eric Gan, Representative Director, President of eAccess said, "Together with Huawei, eAccess will prepare for the launch of the LTE service from this March, and to extend the mobile broadband based on LTE."
