Google Wallet Trials for London 2012 Olympics

­Google is reportedly planning to test its NFC based Google Wallet mobile payments service in London, UK next year during the 2012 Olympics.

The report in the French newspaper, Les Echos simply stated that a pilot trial could be carried out during the Olympics. The paper did not cite its source for the news.

For this launch, Google is in talks with several banking and distributors, as well as the French manufacturer Ingenico.
