DoCoMo to Spend $11 Billion on LTE Network

Japan's NTT DoCoMo plans to invest a total of 880 billion yen (USD11 billion) on its LTE network deployment by 2016. The company is targeting 30 million customers for its 4G network by then.
The company also expects to have LTE capable smartphones on sale by the end of this year.
The announcement was made by the firm's President and Chief Executive Ryuji Yamada at a mobile conference in Hong Kong.
