Ericsson Wins Network Upgrade Contract in Djibouti

Djibouti Telecom has announced that it has awarded a contract to Ericsson to enhance its 2G network with new capabilities and introduce a 3G network.

The mobile network operator added that it will introduce a wide range of services to its customers with the new agreement, such as roaming capabilities and automatic device configuration (ADC) which is a complete solution for automatic mobile device management within Djibouti telecom's mobile network.

"We have grown rapidly as a company and in order to maintain the momentum and build on it we have chosen Ericsson as a partner to assist us in improving our services," said Abdourahman Mohamed Hassan, CEO DT.

Financial and timeline details were not disclosed.
