Twitter Launches Photo Sharing Over MMS

Micro blogging service, Twitter has launched a photo sharing facility, based on MMS.
The MMS based photo sharing feature is being launched with AT&T, Verizon Wireless and Cellular South in the USA; Vodafone, O2 and Orange in the UK; Vodafone Italy; Rogers Communications in Canada; Viva Bahrain; and TIM Brazil.
Twitter's existing SMS is currently available in about 80 countries and nine languages and usage continues to grow. Nearly four billion SMS messages are sent and received on Twitter every month.
O2 in the UK added that the launch of Twitter MMS on O2 had been made possible by the BlueVia developer platform from Telefonica which has made its MMS APIs available to Twitter.
