Samsung Taps Red Bend for Device Management

Red Bend Software says that Samsung has licensed its full suite of MSM solutions, including vRapid Mobile for software management and firmware over-the-air updating (FOTA) and vDirect Mobile for device management.
The software is used to remotely mange handset OS upgrades and configuration.
Red Bend says that its software has shipped in more than 1 billion mobile phones and connected devices.
Adam Leach, practice leader of Ovum's devices practice, said: "With Red Bend now chosen by 10 of the top handset manufacturers, Red Bend's MSM solutions have become the de facto standard for updating mobile software over the air."
