Comfone and Infonet Celebrate First Year of GRX Services

Infonet Services and Comfone have announced their GRX service (GPRS Roaming Exchange) is fully mature and commercially operational to the highest standards required within the GSM industry. The two companies are also celebrating their first anniversary since setting out in partnership together to provide GRX services to GPRS operators across the globe.

Comfone and Infonet have successfully interconnected with 20 of the leading GRX suppliers at the Global GRX Peering Exchange in Amsterdam. The Peering Exchange members represent 80% of the current GRX suppliers. This ensures that GPRS mobile operators who connect to Comfone's GRX will speed up the time-to-market of GPRS roaming and will therefore benefit from much greater roaming capabilities for their subscribers, hence earning more revenue quicker."
