Atmel Announces New SiGe Transmitter for Dualband CDMA/AMPS Phones

Atmel Corporation has announced the availability of a new dual-band tri-mode CDMA/ AMPS transmitter. The T0345 is manufactured in Atmel's Silicon Germanium (SiGe) technology and is part of the CDMA product series being developed as part of the CDMA345TM joint development project with TriQuint Semiconductor. As the new transmitter is manufactured in SiGe technology, it offers outstandingly low current consumption and a high Power-Added Efficiency (PAE) value. This, along with the power-down mode, enables longer talk time.

The T0345 is a new member of Atmel's CDMA product family. It can be combined with the two CDMA power amplifiers T0360 for cellular-band CDMA/ AMPS and T0365 (to be introduced soon) for the PCS-band. Altogether, these 3 ICs build a perfect transmit chain for CDMA/AMPS handheld products. Samples of the T0345 in 5 x 5 mm lead frame outline packages with 32 pins and evaluation boards are available now."
