Telef nica and ZTE have jointly shown off a new Android based tablet device that they aim to sell exclusively in Spain later this month. However, the tablet will be running the Android OS designed for smartphones, not the tablet optimised version.
The 7-inch tablet will be offered with Android 2.2 (Froyo), and will be given away when a customer signs a suitable contract and tariff. It also has a 3 megapixel camera, and built-in GPS means it can also be used as a navigation device.
The Light Pro can be synchronised with a PC using the USB cable included in order to exchange emails and update calendars and tasks.
The company hasn't released the full technical specifications yet.
