AT&T to Announce Samsung Phone on Thursday

USA based AT&T is expected to announce a new smartphone on Thursday (5th May) supplied by Samsung, after the two companies sent out a joint invitation to journalists.
Without going into details, the company confirmed that the launch would include product demos, which strongly suggests it is hardware related as opposed to an expansion of Samsung's App Store platform.
Some speculation has already started that the announcement could be for a US variant of the Galaxy S II, a new smartphone that has recently gone on sale in other countries. Likewise, it could be the commercial launch of the previously announced Samsung Infuse 4G.
Other reports suggest that an AT&T version of Google's Samsung supplied Nexus S, although the lack of Google on the invite would put a damper on that suggestion.
The conference starts at 4pm local time on Thursday
