Ericsson Expands its Operations in Jaipur

Ericsson has added a new assembly line at its Supply Site in Kukas Jaipur for the production of its multi standard Radio Base Station (RBS) 6000 modules locally. This additional assembly line will enhance production capacity for Ericsson's customers in India.

The Hon'ble Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology, Mr. Sachin Pilot, inaugurated the new assembly line.

Ericsson in India established its manufacturing unit in 1994 at Kukas, Jaipur (Rajasthan). Starting with wireline hardware manufacturing, it has now geared up to also manufacture 2G and 3G equipment.

At this supply unit, Ericsson manages production lines providing equipment for radio access network, core network, transmission solutions and modules.
