Google's Android team have acknowledged that there is a problem with its Samsung supplied Nexus S smartphone that seems to cause it to randomly restart, usually during a voice phone call. The reports seem to concur that the problem doesn't affect short voice calls, but only once the duration passes three minutes, and then at a random time thereafter.

Early reports has suggested that the problem could be hardware related, but Google's own team are now investigating.

Writing on Google's Help Forums, a company representative said: "So we've successfully reproduced this issue and are in the process of investigating with Samsung. I'll provide updates as soon as I have them."

No timelines for a bug fix is suggested yet.
