Radio Frequency Systems (RFS), announced today that it will deliver coverage solutions for the Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA) and commercial wireless communications networks in the second underground railway, in the city of Shenyang, Liaoning province in China.
The Shenyang Metro Line 2 is expected to be operational by the end of 2011. It is 57.8 km (35.9 mi) long and will cross the city north to south, bringing underground transportation to the most developed areas in Shenyang.
"RFS has delivered wireless communications network coverage systems to hundreds of metro lines around the world since the 1970s. In China, RFS solutions have been successfully deployed in numerous metro lines in Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and other locations, " said Mr. Chen Zhenhua, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for RFS' north Asia Pacific region. "We are confident we will successfully provide another mission-critical metro coverage solution, this time for the Shenyang Metro Line 2."
RFS will provide different types of RADIAFLEX radiating cables, its fiber optic repeater system, CELLFLEX coaxial cables and accessories. In addition to products, RFS will also provide comprehensive services including system installation supervision and training.
During the recent World Expo in Shanghai, the RFS in-tunnel coverage solutions already deployed in many metro lines successfully supported the high volumes of communications generated by the large numbers of passengers.
