China is expected to produce in excess of 700 million mobile phones and take a 60 percent share in the global market in 2010, predicted Wang Xiang, senior Vice President of Qualcomm recently.
Wang said in a Qualcomm China partner conference that the country's cell phone output peak is ignited by China's booming 3G mobile phones, reported the Xinhua news agency. "China's 3G cell phone market is the fastest developer we have seen so far", added Wang.
In 2011, smart phones, in particular the elementary 1,000 yuan below products will be the popular ones, Wang added.
