Digicel Testing Water Bill Payment with Mobile Money

Digicel Fiji has announced that its Digicel Mobile Money customers will soon be able to use the service to pay their Water Authority of Fiji bills.

Designed to help customers access basic financial services such as top-up money transfer this new partnership with the Water Authority of Fiji will mean Digicel Mobile Money customers are able to pay their bills 24/7 using their Digicel Mobile phone.

Digicel Mobile Money was launched in July this year and since then has grown with majority of the Digicel customer base having signed up for the service.

Customers can deposit and withdraw money at Digicel stores, select Post Fiji outlets and all Westpac branches throughout Fiji.

Stephen Breen, Director Digicel Mobile Money says: "The test results are really positive, the service is really easy to use and it saves valuable time and money for everyone!

Tony Fullman, CEO of Water Authority Fiji said, "the positive results of the trials mean WAF will soon be able to offer customers great options so we're looking forward to launching this new product with Digicel in the very near future.
