Another Cell Site Stolen in Scotland
Protests against cell phone masts in Scotland has intensified after a tower owned by the UK network, one2one was vandalized and then subsequently stolen, just three days after it was errected. The cell site, in Renfrew was designed to look like a local street light and had attracted complaints from local residents as it was sited near land that is to have housing built on it. A local campaign group, which denied any involvement in the incident has criticized one2one for rushing to install the base station, as new tighter regulations come into effect in Scotland in two weeks time. Local police have been called to investigate the matter."
