ZTE Demos 130Mbps Download Speeds on TD-LTE Network
China's ZTE says that it has successfully demonstrated its TD-LTE network technology and achieved a downlink speed of 130Mbps, the highest level in the industry. ZTE is the first company to reach the theoretical limit of TD-LTE throughput in downlink.
Utilising third-part terminal testing tools, ZTE conducted the tests using ZTE system products including EPC, eNodeB, etc in Guangzhou in November.
In May 2010, ZTE and China Mobile will jointly deploy a TD-LTE network at the Expo News Centre for the World Expo Shanghai 2010.
During a TD-LTE proof of concept (PoC) test organised by China Mobile, Vodafone and the Ministry of Industry and Information (MII), ZTE says that it scored many of the top marks in the industry testing.
