Tesco to Start Selling the Apple iPhone

­In a typically brief statement where Apple is concerned, the UK's largest supermarket has announced that it is to start selling the Apple iPhone in the near future.

The company said, simply that: "Tesco Mobile through its joint venture partnership with O2 is pleased to announce that it will shortly introduce iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS in Tesco Phone Shops and online through Tesco Direct in the UK."

Tesco Mobile is the MVNO operated by the company, and runs over the O2 network.

The company has set up a pre-registration website at www.tescomobileiphone.com
