Croatia's Vipnet says that its wireless broadband subscriber base has risen by 80% over the past nine months to reach over 125,000. Vipnet also increased its market share to 42.9 percent based on the number of SIM cards and enlarged its subscriber base by 9.9 percent to 2.6 million.

Swisscom has announced that it is to stop selling its products through the Globus retail chain from next year. Swisscom has decided to focus on its own network of 157 shops and allow the contract with Globus to expire at the end of 2009. The staff affected will continue to be employed in the existing Swisscom Shops.
