Mobistar and KPN Group Belgium Collaborate to Expand Network Infrastructure

­Two Belgium mobile networks, Mobistar and KPN Group (BASE) have announced a collaboration agreement to jointly expand their mobile telecommunication networks.

Under the terms of the agreement, Mobistar and BASE are to jointly acquire and build new sites for their respective mobile telecommunication networks. The collaboration concerns the sharing of pylons, masts, cables, utilities, safety precautions and transmission systems. Sharing of the radio-infrastructure does not fall under the agreement. The operators will operate the shared sites on their own account.

Both Mobistar and BASE are inviting other operators to join their initiative
