Digicel Group Signs Up 10 Millionth Subscriber

­The Digicel Group has announced that it has passed the ten million subscriber landmark across its 32 markets worldwide. The total of ten million subscribers equates to a compound annual growth rate of 40% over the last two years.

At the end of June 2009, Digicel recorded 7.2 million subscribers across its 24 markets in the Caribbean and El Salvador. In terms of the recently launched businesses in Honduras and Panama, these are well ahead of expectations with 1.4 million subscribers across the two markets - while the six markets in the Pacific account for a further 1.4 million subscribers.
