Nokia Siemens Networks Wins Austrian 3G Network Upgrade Contract
Nokia Siemens Networks says that it has won a contract from T-Mobile Austria to modernise its 3G radio access network by mid-2010. Under this project, Nokia Siemens Networks Services team is implementing 2,500 base stations nationwide.
Nokia Siemens Networks is also providing T-Mobile with the NetAct network management system to monitor, manage and optimize the network.
Lots of talk about carbon savings etc, but no financial or technical details were provided.
T-Mobile Austria recently started LTE trials on its network in Innsbruck in West Austria using network kit supplied by Huawei.
