Vodafone Suffering International Traffic Congestion in Qatar
Vodafone Qatar has been suffering capacity problems on its international traffic links due to a recent promotion which has boosted overseas calls.
Vodafone Qatar said that its customers are making international calls averaging 1 million minutes a day as part of their successful international calling promotion. The promotion is so successful, that at times all of the Vodafone international calling lines are fully utilized.
Vodafone Qatar is in the process of addressing these issues by working very closely with ictQatar and other partners on increasing the amount of capacity as quickly as possible.
Vodafone warned that this may take up to 2 weeks to remedy, and so to compensate their customers, Vodafone is extending their international calling promotion for 2 weeks until the 14th of November.
