Vodafone Qatar Sets Up Travelling Retail Stores

­Vodafone Qatar has launched two new traveling retail stores which will sell all Vodafone products and services. The mobile stores will travel across the country selling all Vodafone's products and Vodafone Mercedes McLaren branded merchandise.

"These are the most technically advanced mobile retail stores to arrive in Qatar. They will travel across the country giving all people in Qatar the chance to jump into the exciting world of Vodafone," said Daniel Horan, Director of Consumer Business.

The company also has a target to raise the number of its sales outlets to 1,500 by the end of this year.

The company recently said that it is confident that it can take a majority market share within the country over the next ten years.

Vodafone Qatar is a joint venture between Vodafone and the Qatar Foundation, and was granted the country's second mobile operator license for a payment of US$2.12 billion. The Company received its license on June 28, 2008 and the first test calls were made in December 2008 and the network was officially switched on the 1st of March 2009.
